Department of Civil engineering is one of the pioneer department of the Institute, which commenced with the Inception of the Institute. At present department is offering B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering (4 year) and two post graduate courses i.e. M.Tech (Environmental Engineering) and M.E (Construction Technology & Management). Department has a quality improvement center for QIP programme which is under mentorship of IIT's. Department is well equipped with state of art instruments procured using various funding agencies including TEQIP II & III, AICTE grant and funds from various other agencies. To provide industrial exposure, the department is having MOU with CRRI (New Delhi), NHAI & Gwalior smart city corporation limited. Department organizes regular field industrial visit to UG & PG students to provide them industrial exposure. Department regularly organizes seminars, workshops, STTP, expert lecture for knowledge and upgradation of skill of the students. For value addition of the students, department regularly conducts finishing school, remedial measures, novel engaging courses etc. Students are actively involved in Indian Concrete Institute (ICI) and Indian water works association (IWWA) activities. Department is leading resource center for providing consultancy services to various organizations. Leading academician, industrialist and students are involved in updating syllabus of the subjects through Board of studies and make course material relevant to present day requirement. Department is actively involved in research and development work for the benefits of students and society. Course curriculum of the B.Tech program is framed and designed as per National Education Policy, 2020.
B.Tech in Civil Engineering is Accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for 03 Years wef July 2021.
