The Goal of the Training & Placement Cell of MITS Gwalior is to be a liaison between Industry and students to provide employment opportunities available in the market and to provide intensive training to the students for their overall development.
It works under the guidance of the Training & Placement Officer in consultation with the Faculty In-Charge.
Training & Placement Cell provides full placement support to its students in all areas of disciplines – Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, Information Technology, Biotechnology & Chemical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication, Automobile Engineering and Computer Applications etc.
Right from connecting with companies related to the above-mentioned disciplines in the industry to managing all logistics of arranging the whole campus recruitment process with the required hospitality; T&P Cell officials and student coordinators provide their best possible assistance to the recruiters.
Apart from that, T&P Cell focuses on conducting soft & professional skills training for Pre-Final & Final year students, Industrial Projects/Internships & Training, Guest Lectures, Motivation & Guiding Sessions, Alumni connect programmes and building brand value of the Institute in the industry & market.

Campus Placements Process:
Campus Placement Processes are organized by different companies for providing job placements for students for that company's contact T&P cell of MITS Gwalior. We, T&P Cell, also invite companies every year. It arranges all logistics & hospitality required at their best for the conduction of the selection process at the Institute with all required infrastructure.

Career Orientation Programmes:
Demanding training programmes like Soft & Professional Skills training in the Institute through experienced experts and programmes to orient students about industry expectations are organized.
Additional Expert/Guest Lectures, Motivational & Guiding sessions, and training sessions to improve learning in the areas like Personality Development, Group Discussion, Aptitude Skills and Presentation Skills.

Industrial Training/Projects/Visits for the students:
Industrial Training and Internships are an integral part of the study to acknowledge them for real-world problems. Students are placed in various industries for 6 to 8 weeks and under the supervision and guidance of respective industry personnel.
Industry visits of the students with faculty members are organized to the relevant industries at various locations. It serves the objective of exposure to large-scale practical applications of theoretical aspects for the students.
Students prepare the projects reflecting the needs and problems of the industry. Institute faculty interacts with industry and students for the successful implementation of such projects.
Apart from the above basic activities, the Training & Placement Cell continuously connects with Alumni present in the all Industries for the benefit of students, Connects with Industries for Faculty Training and plays a vital role in front of the Institute to build a brand in the market & Industry.

The curriculum encourages students to apply theoretical learning to real-life scenarios in the form of case studies, research, events and live projects.
R&D activities in the institute comprise: - Research Projects of Students and Faculty as well, Research Journals, Consultancy services provided in the vicinity etc.
Institute and faculty members of each department are eligible for grants for AICTE, New Delhi, UGC, CSIR, MDROB, DST New Delhi, FIST Scheme of Dept. of Science & Technology, Govt. of India etc.

Extra-curricular students’ activities are organized into various categories- namely Recreational & Creative Activities, Student Publications, Students Welfare etc.
Extra-curricular student activities ranging from sports and student publications to the entire gamut of the performing arts – music, dramatics, photography, debating and much more.
Sports also form an integral feature of MITS life- The college conducts various inter-hostel events, generating great enthusiasm and healthy competition among students. The impressive sports infrastructure, which includes sprawling cricket ground, football and hockey fields, badminton and Basketball courts along with billiards and tennis tables, further promotes the sporting culture. Also, all year long selection and practice distil out the skilled and talented to be sent to represent MITS Gwalior in all the inter-college/State and National level the annual sports meet, where winning is a matter of great pride and honour.
