  • About Faculty: Dr. Pratesh Jayaswal has joined MITS Gwalior as lecturer in the year 2003 and currently working as Professor in Department of Mechanical Engineering. In addition to his academic & research assignments he is also working as Registrar & IQAC coordinator of Institute. He completed his B.E. Degree from Madhav Institute of Technology & Science, Gwalior and he received his M.Tech. and Ph.D. degree from SGSITS, Indore and Madhav Institute of Technology & Science, Gwalior respectively. He has worked as Head of the Mechanical Engineering department at MITS from 2009 - 2013 & 2020-2021 and contributed for the NBA Accreditation of Mechanical Engineering Programme during his tenure. He was Coordinator (Academic), TEQIP-II and TEQIP-III Programmes, sponsored by World Bank, from 2013 to September 2016 and 2017-2021 respectively. In this capacity, he coordinated various Academic & Infrastructure activities. The Institution has achieved best performance Audit score among all the participating Institution under TEQIP-III. He has received a Meritocracy award with a certificate of recognition towards excellent coordination of the TEQIP-III project in the capacity of Academic Coordinator on 21.03.2022 from Madhav Institute of Technology & Science, Gwalior. He is also Professor-in-Charge for QIP scheme of AICTE, in which he has been coordinating research activities, faculty training program at Institute. He is also National Doctoral Fellowship Coordinator of Institute. His main research interests are in the areas of Vibration and Noise Control. He has published more than 60 Research Papers in SCI/SCI-E, Scopus/and other referred international journals and conference proceedings and book chapters. He has patent for his novel idea in the Design and Development of Mobile Charger. He has focused in the last few years on the research issues in Fault Diagnosis, Quality Assurance and Educational Leadership. He has been actively involved in Academics & Administrative Quality Assurance activities in the Institute as coordinator of IQAC & Member of Academic Development Cell and Academic Council of Institute. He has organized many national and international conferences, workshops, faculty training programs funded by AICTE, QIP and GIAN scheme of Govt of India. He has also chaired sessions in international conferences. He has received Outstanding Young Person Award in the Category of Academics & Leadership in the year 2008 from JCI.
