  • About Faculty: Dr. Sunita Sharma has joined as Assistant Professor in Department of Biotechnology in 2008 and currently working as faculty of Applied Sciences. She completed her graduation from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University, Agra, M. Sc. and Ph. D in Biochemistry from Jiwaji University, Gwalior in the year 1999 and 2006 respectively. Her area of research includes Computer Aided Drug Design, Toxicology, Stress Biology and Environmental Engineering. She has published 18 research papers in various reputed national and international journals indexed in SCI, SCOPUS, Pubmed. She has also published 01 Book Chapter. She has also acted as moderator in Conferences. At present she is holding additional charge of Deputy Controller, Exam since 2019. She is the life member of Biotech Research Society of India and Association of Microbiology, New Delhi. She has been actively involved in designing curriculum of courses of UG and PG program of Biotechnology. She is also the member of Academic Council of the institute. She is the pioneer in direct credit transfer of MOOC courses through NPTEL platform. Her contribution has been recognized by the institute for integrating minor/honors degree in Exam at B. Tech level.

  • Education and Qualification:

    Baljinder Kaur received her BSc. degree from K.M.V College, Jalandhar, India in 2008. She completed MSc. Degree from LPU University, Phagwara, India in 2010. She completed MPhil. Degree from LPU University, Phagwara, India in 2011. She received Ph.D. in Physics from National Institute of Technology Delhi in 2020 under the supervision of Dr. Anuj Kumar Sharma. She has completed  Post-Doctoral fellowship from  IIT Roorkee with Prof. B. K. Kaushik in ECE Dept.,. She has qualified GATE examination 2015. She received DST-SERB travel grant to present her research work in SPIE conference held at Prague, Czech Republic in 2019. She has also participated and presented her research work in many international and national conferences. She has published 19 research articles in national and international SCI journals and conferences. She has worked as an Assistant Professor in Lovely Professional University, from August 2011 to April 2012 and Chandigarh University, Mohali from July 2015 to December 2015. Her research interests include plasmonic sensors, optical device modeling, fiber optics, and 2D materials.
